Created for Yamuna Forzani’s Utopia Ball at Kunsthal Rotterdam, this series of awards was designed for the performers and winners of the ballroom function. Made from interlocking recycled Perspex pieces, each object translated natural forms into bright neon structures.
The shapes were inspired by tree bark and organic textures, echoing the movement, fluidity and presence of the performers on the floor. Through colour, shine and playful construction, the awards were made to hold glamour, joy and recognition. Designed across multiple categories, they celebrated the skill, confidence and artistry of the ballroom community. The objects moved between trophy, sculptural form and gesture of honour, created to look as radiant as the people receiving them.
