Bike courier hub, Den Haag
This video and light installation uses old AV televisions placed on top of a parcel container unit within a delivery hub for package couriers. Across the screens, a figure cycles through an empty space in a glitching, disconnected rhythm. The video is distorted by the sound of bike bells, while dramatic lighting transforms a dark corner of the hub into an eerie visual spectacle.
Set within a site built for circulation, speed and delivery, the installation slows movement into a fragmented loop. It explores empty space, technological interruption, disconnection and loneliness, turning the familiar image of the cyclist into something unstable and unresolved.
The work was presented as part of an exhibition organised with two colleagues in our former employer’s workspace. The project involved event planning, coordination and the temporary transformation of an active logistical environment into an exhibition site.
